This helps St. Tammany Animal Resource Team with pet care costs.
Olive isn’t just a cat—she’s a personality. A survivor, a boundary-setter, and a green-eyed beauty who was rescued from the euthanasia list by a caring member of our community. She’s been through a lot, and she knows what she likes—and what she doesn’t.
Olive is not a lap cat, and she’s definitely not for the faint of heart. She craves company, but on her terms. She loves being in the same room with you, watching the world go by from her favorite window perch or snoozing nearby while you work. But if you get too pushy with the pets? She’ll let you know—loud and clear.
She needs time. Real time. It took over a month in her current foster home before she started trusting, relaxing, and showing affection in her own way. Now, she chooses to be near her humans, plays with toys, and enjoys simple pleasures like sunbeams and quiet moments. But it’s all on Olive time.
Olive has been adopted and returned more than once—not because she’s a bad cat, but because she wasn’t given the time or space she needed to feel safe. What she’s looking for is a patient, experienced, and cat-savvy human who understands that building trust with a cat like Olive is a journey, not a sprint.
She’s fully vetted, spayed, and up to date on vaccinations. She’s ready for a fresh start with someone who can respect her boundaries and celebrate her for who she is—a resilient, strong-willed soul with so much potential to thrive in the right home.
Are you the kind of person who loves a challenge, and understands that the most rewarding bonds are the ones you earn? Then Olive might just be your perfect match.
