Meet Wappriita! This gorgeous girl is a playful soul with a gentle, easygoing energy. She spends most of her days lounging in sunbeams, exploring her space with curiosity, and quietly observing the world around her. Wappriita is a foodie at heart—she’s especially fond of Tenders treats and always perks up when there’s something tasty nearby.
While she’s still getting used to human affection, Wappriita enjoys being petted and has even started sleeping on the bed at night, soaking up the quiet companionship. She isn’t a fan of being picked up just yet, but with patience and love, she may grow more comfortable over time.
She’s not a fan of dogs and has shown clear signs of stress around them, including hissing, swatting, and arching her back. She was introduced to another adult cat—while they didn’t fully interact and exchanged a few hisses, Wappriita was curious and confidently explored the space, showing interest in the other cat’s presence. With slow, proper introductions, she may be able to coexist with a calm, respectful cat, though she may also be happiest as the only pet.
She’s done well around calm, respectful children (ages 6 and 10), so a quiet family with older kids could be a great match. Car rides aren’t her thing—she tends to meow nonstop and tries to escape—so a low-travel lifestyle is ideal.
Wappriita is fully litter box trained and thrives in a calm environment where she can enjoy her independence while also feeling safe and loved. Her ideal home would be a peaceful, sun-filled space where she can continue to blossom at her own pace.

New Collar Collective is a not-for-profit animal rescue organization committed to alleviating animal homelessness. In pursuit of this mission, New Collar Collective rescues stray, abandoned, abused, or surrendered companion animals requiring care, attention and human assistance. We believe in the transformative power of love, so all of our animals are placed in nurturing foster homes. While in foster care, they receive the vetting and basic training required for them to thrive once adopted out to loving forever homes.
