Howdy, dog lovers! My name is Archie, and I'm a 4-year-old Pekingese gentleman weighing in at a distinguished 12 pounds. I may not be able to see you with my eyes 👀 but I can definitely feel your presence with my heart! ♥️

You see, I navigate the world a little differently than most dogs. I no longer have the gift of sight (due to neglected dry eyes I only see shadows), but it does not slow me down one bit and I've developed some pretty impressive superpowers instead! My hearing is exceptional, my sense of smell is top-notch, and my memory? Well, it's remarkable if I do say so myself. Once I learn the layout of a home, I can zip around like I've lived there all my life!

In my foster home, I've made some wonderful doggy friends. I absolutely adore hanging out with other small dogs! With my hooligan Chi buddy, I'm quite the playful rascal—we tumble and wrestle and have the best time. But I know when to tone it down too. With my shy Pom friend, I'm gentle and cuddly, showing my sensitive side. I'm pretty good at reading the room, even without perfect vision! I also enjoy playing with toys, especially ones that make noise so I can find them easily. Nothing makes me happier than when I successfully locate a squeaky toy all by myself!

I'm working on my house manners and with patience and consistency, I know I can get there completely—I'm a quick study! My foster family says I'm extremely smart and responsive to commands.

What makes my tail wag the most? CUDDLES! 🥰 I'm a super affectionate boy who loves nothing more than snuggling up with my humans. I'll find my way to your lap in no time, and once I'm there, prepare for some serious bonding time! I might give you gentle love nibbles to show my affection—it's just my way of saying "I adore you!"

My perfect forever home 🏡 would be one without stairs and I have be careful on furniture that I don’t step off. A home without small children would be best since I can get a bit nibble-happy when I'm feeling affectionate and I am slower to respond to little kids’ sudden movements. And while I love my dog friends, cats might be startled by my behavior and could accidentally hurt my eyes.
