Betsy is not shy around people but is insecure meeting new cats. She desperately wants connections with feline friends, but it takes her several weeks of slow, methodical introductions to get comfortable. She enjoys being in the company of humans but prefers affection in small quantities and on her terms. She does, however, tolerate necessary handling (being picked up, crated, etc.) quite well and allows her nails to be trimmed without issue if she has a Churu lickable treat to occupy her. She enjoys the bird and squirrel channels on YouTube, but episodes of Cat TV’s Cat Games are her absolute favorite. Betsy also deeply loves paper grocery bags. If given the choice between a cardboard box and a paper bag, she will choose the bag every time. Once she has it flattened to her liking she will lounge on it like it is an $80 orthopedic pet bed instead of a brown paper bag. Betsy is quiet, independent, active, playful, and sweet. She would love a home with her foster brother Curtis or a feline friend who matches her energy / vibe and a human(s) who understands her need for time and space.
