12-year-old Brownie has spent his entire life as a cherished companion. He was loyally by his mom’s side through many military relocations, always adapting right along with her. Sadly, when she was diagnosed with a debilitating illness, she faced the heartbreaking reality that she could no longer care for him.
After becoming a Frosted Face, Brownie lived with a wonderful foster family who helped him decompress and continue to thrive. They even welcomed him back for extra visits after he was adopted and later returned, giving us valuable insight into what Brownie is like in a home.
Brownie is smart, energetic, and full of personality. He loves neighborhood walks, has excellent recall, knows how to “sit,” and rides calmly in the car. He absolutely LOVES food—there isn’t a food he doesn't enjoy! While he enjoys being around people and other dogs, Brownie can become overstimulated and appreciates having quiet time to decompress. He does best when fed separately from other dogs.
Now back on-site, Brownie is enjoying group hikes and special outings, but what he truly needs is a patient, loving forever family. After so many changes, it’s understandable that Brownie takes a little time to build trust—but once he does, he loves deeply and wholeheartedly.
Brownie deserves a second chance to be someone’s special baby forever. Could you be the family he’s been waiting for?
