More about this shelter

Founded in 1913 by a passionate group of Tulsa citizens, the Tulsa SPCA began with a mission to protect vulnerable animals—from homeless cats and dogs to overworked draft animals in farms, mines, and oil fields. More than a century later, that same spirit of compassion still drives everything we do.

Our mission is simple but powerful: to improve the lives of dogs and cats, and to inspire our community to join us in building a world where people and animals thrive together.

We believe every animal deserves to feel safe, loved, and cared for. At our shelter, we provide a safe haven and medical care for pets in need, and we work tirelessly to match them with forever homes where they’ll be cherished for a lifetime.
