My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet gorgeous Jasmine! She came to TMHPR after being rescued from the mean streets along with her kittens who went to another rescue group (and have since been adopted) so this girl is an “empty nester”. She is getting used to the house cat life in a loving foster home.  Jasmine is a beautiful, sweet-natured Ragdoll mix with Calico points. She is so floofy and her fur coat is simply luxurious.  And, her beautiful blue eyes are quite mesmerizing when she gazes at you. Jasmine has been slowly coming out of her shell, one fuzzy paw at a time. She is learning to trust bit by bit. We have no idea about her time on the streets with her kittens but we assume it was a tough life and she went through a lot. Her life on the streets protecting her kittens and herself forced her to shrink into the shadows as a way of staying safe. These habits take time to move past and her foster family is helping her in amazing and important ways.Because this stunning girl is working on being totally comfortable with the “two-leggeds”, Jasmine needs a quiet home with patient, loving parents who won’t challenge her space until she makes the moves. One key to her heart and trust is the use of play and a wand toy works like a charm. She loves to stalk and chase things and will warble to invite her foster family to come play with her. This girl with her thick, fluffy tail and luxurious fur, will be a joy as she works to totally trust and feels the unconditional love of a forever family. Any prospective adopters need to understand her needs and pace themselves accordingly. Experience with cats like Jasmine is important. Her estimated birth date is February 8, 2023. Cats adopted from TMHPR are indoor only.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All applications are submitted to an adoption board for approval to ensure a happy forever home for both owner and pet. In effort to reduce the possibility of the pet being returned, adopters are carefully screened to be sure that the personality of both the pet and adopter are a good match. We will be in contact with you during this process.

Puppies are ready to go home after their 2nd of 3 shots and spay/neuter are complete. The 3rd. shot is included in the adoption fee.

All pets are to be kept as indoor, non-working, members of your family and are spayed and neutered before being adopted. These pets also receive all appropriate vaccinations and are microchipped.

A safe pet home visit is included in the adoption fee.

More about this rescue

Take Me Home Pet Rescue is a 100% nonprofit organization committed to reducing the homeless pet population by removing dogs and cats from shelters and other unfortunate situations and having them spayed, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped before being adopted to their forever families.

We consists of a small core group of volunteers who care about the welfare of our homeless pets. We are located in Richardson, Texas and survive solely from your generous donations and fundraiser's (after fundraiser...after fundraiser!). All of our pets live in our homes as we do not have an actual facility. Because they live within the dynamics of the foster families and are exposed to children of all ages and other pets, we find that that our foster cats and dogs are more adoptable as they have already been socialized to live in a family environment.

We have been in existence since April 2008 and have already rescued over 600 dogs and cats from local kill shelters and other unfortunate situations.

All dogs and cats are spayed and neutered before being adopted. These pets also receive all appropriate vaccinations and are microchipped. In effort to reduce the possibility of the pet being returned, adopters are carefully screened to be sure that the personality of both the pet and adopter are a good match.
