My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Coal was the runt of his litter, who were brought to us at 4 weeks old when their mother was killed. He was so very tiny and didn't know what dog food was at his age. With lots of love and encouragement he learned to eat gruel from a bowl and flourished. He and his two remaining sisters, one sister is living her best life adopted, would love to find their happily ever after like their sister. Coal is amazing with children and other dogs. He plays rough but listens well when told to "be easy" or "calm down". We had a DNA test dont and they are 80% staphy/pitt, 10% boxer and 10% boston terrier. They have the underbite of the boxer which is what led us to the initial thought of boxer mixes. This guy does well on leash but loves to just cuddle up with his people on the couch! He is a big cuddle bug with lots of affection to give! Coal has attended many of our events over his two years of living in the rescue environment. He has been around young children and large groups of people and though he is reserved he doesn't react negatively, he just wants to sit at someone's feet for company and reassurance. This guy and his siblings are the best with children and would love a family of their own this year! Come see Coal and his sisters, you won't be sorry you did!
