My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A volunteer writes:
Young Coffee was found in a kid's playground. She loves to play, for sure, with whatever toy you present her with. Feather wands, laser beams and catnip toys...She is super engaged but allows petting while having fun(see her video). She enjoys her cuddles  and treats too. Coffee was a little bit nervous as she arrived at the care center but she is definitively more relaxed now. What a beautiful gal she is, a Tortie with a lot of personality. Most of them do and this is why they are called the Divas of all cats! Coffee would love to have a family and a home where she could feel safe, loved and have plenty of playtime. She is FeLV+, an immunologic condition that is only transmissible to other cats. She could live a long life, mostly if she is kept indoor, well cared for and loved. The adoption counselors will be able to inform any potential adopters about her health condition. Coffee is waiting impatiently for you at the Manhattan Care Center.

I am playful and cute!

I have feline leukemia and am living my life to the fullest!

Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!

I have been known to shower my favorite people in love!

I love getting pets and - you guessed it - snuggles!

Coffee is social and affectionate but appears to be easily overstimulated and touch sensitive. As a result of this observed behavior that escalated, we recommend experienced adopters who are familiar with signs of behavioral arousal and agitation in cats, so that interactions can be ended before Coffee becomes overstimulated. We also recommend fishing pole-type toys for play as they allow for interaction and vigorous, stimulating exercise while keeping human hands at a distance.
