My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sprite – A Petite Bundle of Playfulness and Curiosity!

Sprite is a playful and affectionate little girl who’s up to date on all her vaccinations. Healthy and full of life, she’s ready to find her forever home!

The smallest of her litter of five, Sprite more than makes up for her size with her big, playful personality. She loves being held—as long as she doesn't suspect you're putting her back in her pen! Once she's comfortable, she'll happily snuggle into your arms.

Sprite loves to race through cat tunnels, climb cat towers, pounce into empty boxes, and chase after remote-controlled mouse toys. She enjoys playing with her sisters and even gets along well with the adult cats in her foster home. She’s not afraid of the family collie, and although she’s a little cautious around new people, her natural curiosity quickly wins out and she’ll come to check out visitors on her own terms.

Sprite has experience playing with respectful children as young as four (with supervision) and would make a wonderful, lively addition to a loving family.

If you’re looking for a playful, spirited kitten who’s full of heart, Sprite could be the perfect match. Come meet her and see if she’s the one you’ve been waiting for!

Sprite is currently in a foster home If you are interested in meeting her, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.

Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

Additional adoption info

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
