Kippy is ready to purr her way right into your heart! This 13-year-old, dilute tortie girl was adopted several years ago but was returned to HART when circumstances in her home changed. Gentle and friendly, she’s not exactly a social butterfly, but she really enjoys low-key attention and being petted and spoken to. She also loves to be brushed, and will happily nudge you and purr while you brush her all over! Since she seems to dislike most other cats, she would be happiest as the only cat in the home.
Kippy is diabetic, and her condition is currently well-managed with a low-carb, wet food only diet (we feed our diabetics Fancy Feast Classic Pate; fortunately, she does not require insulin injections at this time . HART's Medical Team has years of experience caring for diabetic cats, and they will provide training in diabetic cat care (it’s easier than you think!), as well as send Kippy home with a blood-glucose testing kit with related supplies, and a generous starter amount of canned food. In order to make these preparations, she won't be able to go home on the same day that you meet her. We will require that her adopter has an established relationship with a veterinarian. Meet Kippy in Room 4.
