Here's what the humans have to say about me:
From her foster: Annelise is a very loving and bright girl. She wakes up excited to start a new day every day. She wiggles when she’s happy, walks well on a leash, and loves a good rope toy! After one week of slow introduction to my dog at home, she gets along well with him inside and outside the house. She loves to give my dog kisses and play with him but she also gives him space and can relax in the same room together. Annelise loves to play with people too, she always brings back her toy for you to throw again and loves to cuddle up in bed or sit right next to you on the couch. Annelise is also great with new people, I’ve had friends over and she loves to say hi and hang around us. For training purposes, Annelise responds well to a clicker and small meat treats. Lastly Annelise is very good with being touched/held without showing aggression so even though she’s never been around kids, I think depending on the family she could potentially be paired with children, we went to a farmers market where a toddler wanted to say hi and Annelise looked excited to say hi. Annelise’s personality is two sides of a coin, she can be an active dog outside who loves to walk and play but when the people around her also want to just relax she couch potatoes pretty well with us.

Their adoption process
Additional adoption info
Orange County Animal Services has hundreds of adoptable pets at any given time. We operate on a first come, first serve basis to give everyone an equal opportunity.
We strive to place every pet in a furever home, which is why the first step of adoption from our shelter is coming to our location and interacting with the pet of your choice. Adoption applications can be filled out at our shelter once interaction has taken place and are not available online.
Once your application is approved, we will ask for payment of the adoption fee.
Standard adoption fees are $55 for dogs and $40 for cats. Ferrets are $40 to adopt. Pocket pets like rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters are $15 to adopt.
We ask interested adopters to please come prepared with photo identification.
We welcome adopters from out of county and state, but do not transport animals. Interaction is still required as part of the adoption process.
