Meet Houston!

Houston is 8 years old and about 14 pounds.

Houston is energetic, curious, and playful. He loves car rides, long walks, sunbathing, and snouting in the snow–he thinks he's a little Husky!

If he senses you need a break from your day, he'll sit in front of you and let out the softest little song to let you know it's time to stop what you're doing to play. He loves attention and is willing to sit on your lap for petting or--even better--a brushing.

When it's bedtime, he'll cozy up behind your bent legs or against your stomach so you can be his Big Spoon.

His best fit is an active, mature human who shares his zeal for adventure and companionship.

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Most of our animals need a little "extra" to be successful in a home environment - fill out an app to see if you might be a good fit!

2.
Interview

Depending on your app, we may schedule a phone interview to discuss the particular needs of the animal you applied for.

3.
Home Check

Quick home check to make sure that your place is suitable for their new animal.

4.
Approve Application

After you application is approved, we schedule a time for you to meet the animal.

5.
Take the Pet Home

We require that all of our potential adopters do at least a two week adoption trial period before finalizing.

6.
Sign Adoption Contract

After the trial period, if you decide to finalize the adoption we'll send you the paperwork.

7.
Pay Fee

After the contract is signed and their fee is paid, it's official!

Our support does not end at adoption. We continue to offer donation-based post-adoption services to help the new family. <3
