If you are looking to provide a gorgeous senior kitty, one who is super gentle and laid back, an amazing furever home, JoJo is your purr-fect match. JoJo is an incredibly sweet 10 year old cat whose human passed away last year. Her human had been in home hospice for several years prior so, unfortunately, JoJo likely had little interaction for those years. Prior to that, it sounds like her human doted on her and loved her very much.
She’s been a solo cat her entire life. She would likely do well with another calming cat presence but may not be up to a sibling kitty with super high energy or who may be a bit aggressive. She loves to spend time with her foster mom and especially loves to be brushed. She also has a really sweet playful side although she may need a little time before she shows it.
JoJo arrived quite matted and overweight and is on a special diet which has helped her lose over three pounds in the past year. Slow and steady is the way to go. She does use the litter box (she has two low and flat boxes that allow her to get in and out easily with her weight). However, she does appreciate they stay super clean at all times, otherwise she may choose another spot more suitable. She also has mild kidney disease and is front declawed. Our Adoption Coordinator and foster can go into more detail with you about this.
