Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello everyone, my name is Rambo and I love life. I have been in a rescue since I was a little fellow.
My brother and I were found in a ditch when we were 10 weeks old. I do not remember the ditch or my brother. You see, my brother was adopted last year.
Here, while I wait for you, there are other dogs and cats. I am such a gentle fellow, some of the other (big) adult dogs pick on me. For the longest time, I would only go into the play yard with the tiny dogs. One day, one of the human caregivers decided I needed a dog pen to run around in. That was the beginning.
Every day, I run from my crate to my dog run in the yard. But before I go in, I sprint all over the yard saying hi. I am nervous around people when I meet them. With patience, time, and feeling safe, I will run up to you to be petted. I am such a happy boy!
I am ready to start my journey home. My ideal family is active (hiking, camping, going to the beach), and if you are a runner, I am your fellow runner.
Please send a message to alittlelonger2home@gmail.com and request an application. Please complete it completely and include the email addresses of your three references.
See you soon.

Additional adoption info
We are very careful with our adoptions for these orphans are in our homes. They are family to us. If it does not feel right, there is probably a reason. The adoption is cancelled.

More about this rescue
My name is Carla Carlton. We (my husband and I) are retired militay. He served in the Air Force for 25 years. We have always done community service. So, when we got ready to retire, we found a place we wanted to live and bought a home. Well, the town we lived in has/had a high kill shelter. This broke our hearts.
Around this same time, I met a lady who fostered for Friends of Homeless Animals, RI. One day I got a call from FOHA there was a poodle in our shelter and he was on the short list. I went and pulled him. Roie (FOHA), helped set me up to foster and list our orphans to adopt with families who really wanted them. I am not sure how long ago it was, 16-18 years, I think. The rest is history. Through them and Mountain Pet Rescue, CO (and a few others in CO, UT, IA, IL, OR, CA, MS...), we have placed over 2500 dogs/ puppies and cats.
