My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Beautiful Miss Rose is heartworm positive. This 5 year old Mini Labradoodle is going to spend the next few months undergoing expensive heartworm treatment. We would love for her to spend this time in her future forever home, rather than in our shelter, but we do not complete adoptions on animals until they have been medically cleared.

In this situation, we do what is called a Medical Foster to Adopt. The right family will foster Rose during her treatment, which is provided by us. Once she is cleared the adoption would be completed with that foster family and Rose would then become a permanent member of their family.

If you are interested in being the Medical Foster to Adopt for Rose, please complete this foster application:
https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/foster/ITAV/Dog

Once approved, our foster coordinator will walk you through the process and what to expect. Once she is medically cleared, her adoption fee will be $425. This includes spay/neuter, current vaccines, and microchipping.

Go meet their pets

Many of our adoptable pets are placed in loving foster homes. You are welcome to stop by our shelter during business hours, but please be advised, that many of our available pets will not be in the building. By submitting an application first, you give our adoption coordinator a chance to inform you of the pets location, saving an unnecessary trip.
