My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Profile: Smokey is a 2 month old, female Lab/Husky X  (guessing), puppy who will be joining us along with her siblings from Texas on 04/23/2025. Puppies and mom were taken from an overcrowded property by Animal Control and went into care with our rescue partner. She is a happy sweet pup, doing well in her foster home, friendly with dogs, cats and kids, awaiting her freedom ride to the PNW.

Foster Update:

Smokey is an absolute sweetheart and calmer than your average pup. She's curious and adventurous, always eager to explore her surroundings. Smokey has shown interest in other dogs and loves to cuddle when she's sleepy. Her play sessions last about 20 minutes before she falls asleep—puppies, am I right?

She's a quick learner, consistently going potty outside in the same spot since she joined our home. While she doesn't love her crate, she settles after a few whines and prefers to sleep with or on her humans. Smokey enjoys all kinds of toys, especially those that operate like typical cat toys, such as chasing a string around the house.

Smokey would thrive in a home with other dogs or as an only dog. I am sure Smokey would be into playing with cats but hasn't been tested with one yet. Her favorite activities include playing, cuddling, and exploring. Smokey is ready to bring joy and love to her forever home! ❤️

Due to breed we are not considering apartments at this time.
