My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Have you misplaced your alarm clock? This emotionally feral chicken nugget will happily replace it so you don’t have to remember to set your alarm in the morning. Lexa is a bug catching, Hoover of snacks, human tolerating creature of the night. Does your cat need a cat? Look no further. She is a lover of wet food and other cats, she loves sitting in a window and looking at birds. She loves to snuggle other cats and just be included. She is a spunky little thing who I absolutely believe one day will become a human snuggler as well. She’s very shy at first but benefited from having a role model cat. She doesn’t care if the other cat is less than enthusiastic, she will just sit right on top of them and beg to be smothered. A cat for your cat, perfect for those who have a cat who needs someone to baby. She loves to play and chase bugs, she’s incredibly vocal for someone under 10 lbs. Her current foster doesn’t have any dogs but her previous one did and she worked around them and will probably get snuggly with them eventually. It may take some time to get used to them again but will smack if she feels uncomfortable.

More about this rescue

Little Mews is an all volunteer, non profit, 501(c)3, no-kill, animal rescue organization. We take in cats and kittens from a variety of situations, most are stray, unwanted, neglected or abused. We can also refer you to other organizations in the area that have dogs, cats and other animals for adoption and have information about low cost spay and neuter options.

All our cats and kittens who are ready for adoption have been checked by a vet, vaccinated for FVRCP, rabies (if over 4 months), tested for Feline Leukemia, FIV, wormed, and spayed/neutered if old enough. Any health conditions are treated so that the cats can be adopted as healthy as possible.

Our goal is to find safe, healthy, forever homes for cats and to promote spay/neuter so that the number of unwanted cats is lowered every year. We want each cat and kitten adopted to a home where it will live forever.
