Hey there… I’m Rusty 🧡🐾

I’m a 1-year-old mixed breed boy who got my second chance after being rescued from the Selma Animal Shelter. Thanks to Big Dog Ranch Rescue, I’m safe now and finally getting to show everyone who I really am.

Shelter life was a little overwhelming for me. There were loud noises, so many smells, and lots of uncertainty. But even then, I kept my sweet nature tucked inside, just waiting for the right moment to shine. Now that I’m out of that stressful environment, my personality is starting to blossom.

I’m young, playful, and curious about everything. I love attention and enjoy being close to my people. Whether it’s going for a walk, tossing around a toy, or just hanging out by your side, I’m happiest when I feel included and loved.

At 1 year old, I’m at that perfect stage — old enough to focus and learn, but still young and full of fun. With a little guidance and a lot of heart, I’ll grow into a loyal, loving best friend.

I’ve already been given a second chance… now I’m just waiting for my forever home.

If you are interested in adopting a dog from us please visit the ranch. Our website adoptions page has all of our availalbe dogs and our adoption application at www.bdrr.org/adopt. This will help us make sure we find you the right dog to fit your situation and family. You are welcomed to come to the ranch seven days a week or you can make an appointment with our adoption desk. Our adoption fees range depending on the dog's breed, age and other factors.
