This helps Mother Gaia Animal Rescue with pet care costs.
Brownie is about 2 years old and is bonded with Oreo.
Brownie is a big guy with a big heart. He has pretty blue eyes and a thick Seal Point Siamese coat. He is shy at first but once he comes out of his shell, he quickly becomes friendly and affectionate. It takes him a few weeks to become totally comfortable in a new home, but his curious, playful and mischievous nature shines through after that. He hid during the day at first but now likes to lounge in the bed on top of the cat tree although he doesn't fit! He is almost always up for play time and often demands belly rubs.
He adores his bonded sister Oreo and likes to play tag with her late at night when he becomes very playful and active. He has a calm demeanor but is sensitive to loud or crinkling sounds and sudden movements, and doesn't like brooms, mops and vacuums. He also doesn’t like his rear feet being touched and is only marginally tolerant of having his front claws clipped.
He loves to stand up tall on his hind legs to investigate bookshelves, counters and desks. He also stands on his hind legs to swat at wand attachments. He likes to play with moving robot toys but has to be in the mood, usually late at night. He always loves the hide-and-seek interactive toy with spinning butterfly though. He also likes catnip and enjoys wrestling with catnip kick toys, but his favorite activities are batting fuzzy balls and springs around and chasing strings.
He is surprisingly agile for a very large cat and easily climbs the cat tree and bookshelf where I feed him, so he has to work a little to get food. He recently figured out how to get food out of a Slim Cat dispensing ball, which is also helping him to lose a little weight.
