My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Reign – A Loyal Heart Ready for Her Forever HomeReign is a stunning 3-year-old shepherd mix with the soul of a protector and the heart of a best friend. She’s the kind of dog who watches over her people with quiet strength and unwavering devotion.Too often, dogs like Reign are misunderstood. Her protective instincts aren’t aggression—they’re love. She forms deep bonds with her humans and simply wants to make them feel safe. Once you’re in her circle, you’re there for life.Reign loves to play (tennis balls are her jam!), go for walks, and just be part of your world. She thrives in a calm home with someone who understands her breed and will give her the time to settle in and shine.Reign isn’t for everyone—but for the right person, she’ll be everything.Looking for a loyal companion who’s got your back? Reign is ready when you are. Please reach out to learn more or set up a meet-and-greet!

More about this rescue

We are a prison located in Lockhart TX. We rescue dogs from rural area shelters and take them into the prison for training on basic obedience. They are also house trained and crate trained. Training is done by the women inmate handlers. A professional trainer comes to the prison weekly to teach the inmates how to train the dogs. Dogs live at the prison for 2-3 months, in the cells with the inmates, while they are being trained.

All dogs are up to date on their shots, heartworm negative and on preventative, spayed/neutered, microchipped and trained for basic obedience.
