My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Elodie and Riggs, the sweetest dynamic duo you'll ever meet! These two were relinquished to us when their previous owner could no longer care for Riggs' eye condition, but we're so lucky to have them in our care. At 5 years old, Elodie is the calm and composed one, while 7-year-old Riggs is full of spunk and energy. Together, they make the perfect pair—Elodie provides steady guidance for Riggs, and Riggs brings out her playful side. They rely on each other for comfort, support, and fun, so they must be adopted together as a package deal!

Riggs may be blind and has chronic dry eye, which means he needs eye medication a couple of times a day to keep his eyes comfy, but don't let that fool you—he gets around just fine, especially with Elodie by his side. The two of them have mastered the art of teamwork, and Riggs always knows where he's going with his trusty guide leading the way. Elodie has a history of urinary stones, but the special diet she eats has helped tremendously and she is doing well! Despite their challenges, Riggs is a spunky, happy-go-lucky guy, while Elodie is content to chill out and snuggle with her best friend after a fun play session. They're like the perfect yin and yang!

These two are total people lovers and get along wonderfully with other dogs and kids. Their personalities are as easy-going as can be, and they’re just waiting for the right home to shower with love and affection. If you're looking for a pair of adorable, affectionate pups to brighten up your life, Elodie and Riggs are your match! Don’t wait—get in touch today and give these two a forever home where they can keep supporting each other for years to come!

More about this rescue

Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
