Meet Sunny – The Sweetest Little Survivor!
Sunny is a 7-month-old Chihuahua mix who came to the shelter as a stray with a painful hip injury. Thanks to a successful FHO surgery and her young, growing bones, she’s expected to make a full recovery and live a happy, active life.
She weighs just 7 lbs and has soft, medium-length wavy fur (currently trimmed short due to surgery). Sunny may be a little shy at first, but once she feels safe, she’s a total cuddlebug who loves nothing more than snuggling on the couch.
Sunny gets along wonderfully with other dogs and even cats, but her favorite place is by your side. She’s crate trained, and her potty training is going great—just a few accidents as she continues to learn.
Because she’s so small and still healing, we’re looking for a home without young children to ensure she stays safe and comfortable.
Sunny will be spayed in a few weeks, so any adoption before then will be on a foster-to-adopt basis.
