She delights in belly rubs, leisurely walks in the park, playtime with her toys, and being the center of your attention. Due to her rough start to life, she is a little socially awkward with other dogs and requires slow, thoughtful introductions. She can also be reactive on leash when seeing other dogs, but her intelligence and eagerness to please make her easily redirectable. Sweet Pea loves to chase bunnies and squirrels and would do best in a home without felines. She also feels overwhelmed by the energy of young children, and would thrive in an adult-only or older children home. Sweet Pea is also tested with other dogs, children, and potty and kennel trained. She would do best in a home with children over the age of 8. She would also do best in a home without felines. We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!)

The animal's medical records will also be released at this time. A one-week trial period is included with all our adoptions.
