Meet Lyra (Wolfdog)
THIS SWEET GIRL NEEDS A HERO! SHE WAS BROUGHT IN A SHELTER AFTER BEING FOUND SCARED IN TERRIBLE CONDITION LOCKED IN A CAGE AFTER OWNER DIED. NOBODY NEW SHE WAS THERE! SHE DOES HAVE SOME WOLF/COYOTE IN HER BUT SHE EXTREMELY LOVING!
This is Lyra who has not had the best life as we found when she was brought into a kill shelter at 4 PM AND the shelter called us and said if nobody pulls her by 5 We are going to euthanize her. We could not let that happen so we immediately jumped in to help her. We have had her at the vet and she has come along way since coming to us. She was covered in blood and wounds when she was found locked in a pen on a property after her owner died and nobody knew she was there and nobody even knew her name. How sad is that. Since rescuing her we have learned a lot about her character and are we very happy we gave her a second chance because the love she gives is just amazing. We are a small team of dedicated volunteers making a huge impact by saving hundreds of lives each year from high-kill shelters or those abandoned in the community. If the Pet you are inquiring on is no longer available, chances are we've got another one that will perfectly suit your family!

Arcadia Animal Rescue is a foster-based rescue comprised of volunteers who are dedicated to saving the lives of animals that are at-risk either in shelters or in our communities, and placing them into safe and loving foster or adoptive homes.

As a 501c3 organization that receives no federal funding, we rely on the generosity of donors in order to provide life-saving veterinary care, spay and neuter, behavioral assessments and modification, emergency boarding, and transport to foster/adoptive homes.

Our philosophy is that rescue is a partnership. Together, our fosters, adopters, donors, supporters, and volunteers make this life-saving mission possible!
