My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucy #2 gave birth to 5 daughters - Jackie, Lottie, Misty, Shaun & Taissa! She has been a good Mom and now her birthing days are over. Her babies are weaned and she has been spayed. Momma Lucy is a little shy but warms up quickly. She is a bit of a velcro dog and loves putting her paw in your hand. Lucy #2 also enjoys belly rubs.Her pictures do not do her justice - she is a very pretty girl! She is good with other dogs but we do not know what she thinks of cats. Lucy#2 is about 1 & 1/2 years old and 57 pounds.

Update: Lucy#2 (Mom) tested positive for Ehrlicchia, another common borne tick disease. She is undergoing a short course of oral antibiotic. She has been feeling great and any remaining antibiotic will be sent home with her new family for completion. Lucy#2 (Mom) is currently available for adoption.

** We currently have two dogs with similar names so to avoid any delays in processing your application please refer to this girl as Lucy#2 (Mom) in any correspondence.

***You must provide a vet reference for a current or past pet you have/had.***

We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821).

Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes.

Lucy's adoption fee is $425. This covers all their age-appropriate shots, microchipping and vetting.

**If you are coming to an adoption event to see a certain dog/cat, please email ahead of time to make sure that dog/cat will be there that day. Please email 1-2 days before the event, as some animals are placed during the week and our list is constantly changing.
