My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Salem is a very sweet but shy 2 year old girl who just needs a little patience to come out of her shell. Once she feels safe, she absolutely loves to be pet and scratched, purring softly as she leans into the attention. Treats and catnip are the way to her heart, and she can’t resist a little playtime when the mood strikes.

Salem does have anxiety that affects her health. Stress has previously caused inflammation that led to her urethra closing, so she requires daily medication to keep her feeling her best. She will need to continue this medication after adoption to ensure she stays happy and healthy. With a calm and loving home, Salem will blossom into a devoted companion, showing just how affectionate and wonderful she truly is. She’s looking for someone who will provide the care she needs and give her the love and patience she deserves.

Salem is available for meet and greets at the Angel of Hope shelter. Fill out an application online to start the process! https://www.aohrescue.org/cat-adoption-application

More about this rescue

Angel of Hope Animal Rescue works with cats and dogs from animal controls and shelters. Prior to adoption pets are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, cats are tested for feline leukemia, and dogs are tested for heart worm. At adoption we can help you determine if the pet is a good fit for your home and family. We will share their personalities and quirks with you to help you decide.
