My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Kotake, a mysterious and interesting couch cryptid. She lurks in the shadows until offers of Churu appear, and then she will approach swiftly. After her snack, she will request pets and if you please her, she will begin to drool in delight. With her gigantic turquoise eyes and petite frame, she is a tiny goblin fairy who brings good tidings and love to all.

Kotake is approximately 3.5 years old and while she is still on the shy side, she LOVES being pet, especially on the chin. She will try to gently pull your hand back in if you stop rubbing her chin, and she really does drool when she’s getting the goood skritches. She is so expressive and always making the funniest faces.

Since Kotake came from a colony with several other cats, we feel that she would thrive best in a home with a cat friend and in a household with patient adopters who are willing to start her off in one small room while she adjusts. Energetic dogs and small kiddos are likely to be a bit much for her right now, but calm, cat-savvy friends might be OK.

She has been spayed, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. Are you looking for a unique and beautiful goblin fairy cat? She’s looking for you!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.

Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.

Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.

Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

6.

Pay Fee

7.

Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

More about this rescue

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.

Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
