My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ROCKY is the absolutely cutest little gray-striped, short-haired male tabby teenager kitten with white fur in a tuxedo pattern and a freckle on his nose. This special young boy is very playful and energetic, and he LOVES people—his favorite thing to do is to cuddle and snuggle--although like most youngsters, he’s not a fan of being held or restrained. This charming little guy needs a cat-savvy adopter with a good sense of humor.  He can be a handful who needs a watchful eye as he likes to get into everything.  He should be in a home with another active and playful young kitty or doggy to help channel his energy.

ROCKY was injured in a fall as a baby (he was then surrendered to a vet and subsequently came to CRAN), where he suffered trauma to his nose and teeth.  He has completely healed up and this experience has not affected his happy, friendly personality--but as a result he does sneeze alot. Rocky is a sweet young man who will thrive in an active home with a knowledgeable adopter.  If you are looking for a snuggly little lover, Rocky is your guy!

ROCKY has been neutered, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. He has been diagnosed with juvenile gingivitis; it may be that he will grow out of this as he matures.  To meet ROCKY in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at Petsmart.  A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet.   The $70 adoption fee (for a special needs cat) allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. It is available on our website: https://catrescues.org/forms/cat-adoption-contract/ A paper copy is available at our adoption sites. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, have been de-wormed, treated with flea medication at intake, spayed or neutered, and have been microchipped and tested for felv/fiv tested.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for cats and kittens of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette, at Wags Dog Emporium on Coburg Rd and the Eugene-Springfield Cat Lounge. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help Cat Rescue & Adoption Network save as many animal lives as possible.
