My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, my name is Amelia! I'm a sweet, 4-year-old girl with a heart of gold and a mind of my own, and I weigh about 55 pounds. I'm already potty trained and crate trained, so I'm ready to settle into my new home with ease.

I can be a little excited on walks, so I may pull on the leash sometimes, but don't let that fool you! I'm a smart cookie who already knows some basic commands like sit and come. I enjoy my personal space, but once I'm comfortable with you, I'm all about snuggling up for some quality cuddle time. I can be a little shy when meeting new people, especially men, so I prefer slow introductions, but once I get to know you, it's game on! I love to play and have a good time.

I'm incredibly kid-friendly and dog-friendly, and I even get along with cats—I'm more of an "ignore them and let them be" kind of girl. I'm looking for a patient and loving family who will give me the time I need to come out of my shell and show them the happy, loving dog I truly am. If you think you're the one for me, I can't wait to meet you!
