What a story to tell these two beautiful girls have! You may ask how it is even possible for these cats to end up in the rescue?! That night our volunteer went to feed one of the feral cat’s colony we manage. She heard a tiny meow coming out from the side and she spotted a beautiful unneutered tabby Scottish Straight looking boy (every single cat we have in our colonies are spayed or neutered). As soon as he finished eating he called our volunteer to follow him and you can imagine how surprised she was when she saw 5 other bred cats sitting behind the door. She knocked on the door and to our surprise the owner was pretty cooperative. He told her that he was trying to “get rid” of the cats and was only keeping the parents who now were fixed. We learned that Jasmine was 1 yo and SnoWhite was 6 months old as well as her brothers. She begged him to give us some time to be able to place all the cats they didn’t want to keep. But unfortunately next morning we learned he already sold for “cheap” one of the females. Typically we never pay to anyone to rescue the cats, but this situation was extremely urgent. We agreed to give him as much as he spent to fix the parents and removed the rest of the cats. The boys went to NJ rescue who luckily had an open foster and the girls went to one of our amazing fosters. Even though we were told they were purebred Scottish Straight cats, we don’t consider them as purebred as we have any paperwork. But since we are aware that this breed has been known for their shy personalities, we will be looking for a right home for them. The girls now are spayed/UTD on shots/tested negative for FIV/FeLV/microchipped. They’re gorgeous and so sweet and gentle and demure like two little ladies. We are looking for a quite home for them or a cat family where the kids are experienced with the cats care and are patient.
