Meet Fiona – 8 Pounds of Sass, Snuggles, and Pure Heart!
Fiona may be tiny, but she has a larger-than-life personality that fills every room she enters. At around 4 years old and weighing just 8 pounds, this Chihuahua has already lived quite the life—but now she’s ready for her next (and best!) chapter: a forever home where she can be adored just as much as she deserves.
Once a stray with a patchy coat and an empty belly, Fiona has transformed into a sassy little queen. Fiona is incredibly loving and bonds deeply with her people. She enjoys being close and will gladly cozy up or burrow under blankets with you at every opportunity. She does well with kids and other dogs. Fiona is obedient, devoted, and never met a food item she didn’t love. She adores her soft little toys and will ask to play fetch with them.
Fiona has been diagnosed with heart failure, which is likely related to a heartworm infection, and is currently well managed with daily medication. She’s completed heartworm treatment, but needs to take it easy with walks and playtime for a while as her heart is monitored post-treatment.
Most dogs do show improved heart function after heartworm treatment + recovery time - but only time will tell!
In the meantime, Fiona remains happy, spirited, and full of love. She doesn’t let her diagnosis define her, and she certainly doesn’t want you to treat her any differently—unless you're offering belly rubs or soft blankets, in which case, she’s all in.
Fiona's not just a dog—she's a little warrior in a tutu (figuratively, but also possibly literally if you have one), ready to dance her way into your life and heart.

Please visit www.hopeanimals.org/adopt to learn more about our adoption process and to complete an adoption application.
Adoption Fee includes spay/neuter*, microchipping, up-to-date vaccinations, and current heartworm and flea/tick preventatives.
*If pet is not old enough to be spayed or neutered prior to adoption, a $50.00 credit will be paid to your vet at the time of surgery.
We require a veterinary reference for current pet owners, and pets must be up to date on vaccines and heartworm preventative. We meet potential adopters in their homes and introduce the pets to the family's current pets to see if it is a good match. A copy of our adoption contract can be requested via email.
