Suede is a lovely, cat-friendly kitty who is looking for a home with other felines who want to be her friend. She was rescued from a hoarding situation with a litter of very young kittens in tow. She was a wonderful mother, and now that her kittens have all been adopted, it's Suede's time to shine.

She is a sleek black cat with a bit of a chocolatey-hue to her coat and is estimated to be about 2 years old. Since Suede spent her kittenhood around other cats, she feels most comfortable when she is with other felines. She's not overly affectionate with them, but she's much happier being in a group than being alone. Therefore, she is looking for a home with another cat that might want to be her friend. Suede isn't high energy, so an older cat or one with calm energy (perhaps a big, lazy male) would be ideal for her.

Although she can be a little bit shy at first, Suede likes to spend time around her people. She wont sit in your lap, and she doesn't like to be picked up, but she enjoys sitting next to you. In fact, she likes to sit next to you and stare lovingly into your eyes, once she's comfortable with you. She also likes to give little finger nibbles as a show of endearment. She isn't a big fan of her head or face being handled, but she enjoys back rubs and butt pets.

Suede is not comfortable around children and she really dislikes dogs. She will do best in a calm household, with a single older person or couple (and their cat) who lives a quiet life and just wants another quiet soul to share it with.
