Lydia is a 5-year-old calico with a unique feature: she has only one eye. She came to us after an urgent plea from Kendall County Animal Control. The staff there couldn’t say enough good things about her, calling her the sweetest cat ever and insisting she deserved a second chance.
We brought her in the very next day and were instantly smitten. After evaluation, we learned her damaged eye was the result of an old injury and needed to be cleaned out. That’s exactly what we did—and now Lydia is healthy, healing beautifully, and ready for the loving home she deserves. Her one-eyed status doesn’t affect her one bit—she gets around just fine and has all the love to give.
