Since I'm a long stay pup, my adoption fee has been reduced! Visit me today to find out my favorite treats and how you can take me home!
**Meet Prince Charming!** Prince Charming was surrendered to ACC when his owner moved into an apartment that doesn't allow pets. With a name like his, it's no surprise this five-year-old brindle boy has a lot of heart-and a lot of energy. Loyal, sensitive, and super smart, Prince Charming is hoping to find a family who will help him channel his enthusiasm and give him the structure and love he craves.
---
**My ideal home:** Prince Charming is looking for an experienced adult-only home where he can thrive in a calm, structured environment. He'll do best with someone who understands working with high-energy dogs and is committed to positive reinforcement training. A home with a yard to stretch his legs-or a person who enjoys long walks and enrichment games-would be ideal.
**Good with kids?** No. While he lived with young children in his previous home, due to his resource guarding, anxiety, and impulsive behavior, we recommend a home without children under 13.
**Good with other pets?** Prince Charming lived peacefully with a cat and was described as friendly and playful with familiar dogs. At the shelter, he's shown some nervousness and overexcitement around unfamiliar dogs. If joining a home with another dog, structured introductions and slow acclimation are a must.
**Leash manners:** This boy has a lot of energy on leash! He pulls and may lunge at small animals, but he's been making progress with decompression walks and reward-based training like "up/down" games, polite exchanges, and focus work. A front-clip harness and patience will go a long way.
**Overall health:** Prince Charming is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. He had a bout of kennel cough and some GI issues early on but has since recovered. He's currently a healthy 59-pound pup with a great appetite.
**Behavior determination:** **Level 3** - Prince Charming is a bright, active dog who struggles with anxiety, low impulse control, and resource guarding. He's responded well to positive reinforcement techniques in the shelter and is ready for a savvy adopter who can continue building on that foundation.

---
