My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bud is a striking 5-year-old brown tabby with a noble presence and a quiet love for the simple pleasures in life. This independent gentleman thrives in a calm environment where he can rule his peaceful kingdom from lofty perches. He delights in the art of bird watching, basking in warm sunbeams, and indulging in delicious canned food. His favorite pastimes also include scratching on his cat tree, rolling blissfully in catnip, and accepting gentle cheek scritches from those he trusts.

Bud can get a bit conflicted over whether or not he wants human attention at times, so we are recommending he go to a home with cat-savvy people without small children. Bud is unfortunately not your guy if your looking for a hands-on, snuggly cat, but if you want a cool new roommate who just wants to live his best life, please give Bud a chance.

If you're looking for a loyal companion who values serenity and a bit of solitude, Bud may be the purr-fect fit. Please email eborden@lollypop.org if you are interested in meeting Bud or have any inquiries!

More about this shelter

Mission:
Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester, works together with our community better the lives of animals through justice, prevention, and life-saving care.

Vision: A just and compassionate world for all animals.

Lollypop Farm is not your typical animal welfare organization. We don’t classify ourselves as merely a shelter, simply taking in and rehoming pets. Rather, we are your partner. We’ll work with you to build a just and compassionate world for all animals–to save animals from abuse and suffering, to find a resource to keep your pet, to guide you in adopting a new pet, to make the tough decision to say goodbye to your family friend or to share information on how to help animals in your daily life.
