My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

https://foha.org/pet/star2025/

ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
Hi there, I’m Star — a sweet and playful little orange cat with a whole lot of personality. I’m about two years old but have the energy of a kitten! I’ve been living in a foster home where I’ve really come out of my shell. I love to explore, chase toy mice, and absolutely go wild for the turkey flyer toy. I’m also quite the chatterbox — I’ll make sure you always know what’s on my mind!

I love being near my people and will follow you around the house just to stay close. I’m not a lap cat yet, but I do enjoy curling up next to you and rubbing against your legs for some affection. I don’t love being picked up, but I’ll gladly show you my softer side when you offer me a Churu treat (they’re my favorite!). I even get little back scratches when I’m feeling extra brave.

Some of my favorite pastimes include watching fish in the aquarium, lounging in sunny windows to birdwatch, and snuggling up with another friendly feline. I do get a little nervous being alone, so I’d be happiest in a home with at least one playful cat friend and a family who won’t leave me solo for too long. If you’re looking for a charming and curious little shadow to share your life with, I just might be your girl.

HOW AM I WITH OTHER CATS:
Friendly and playful! I’d love to have at least one other cat buddy in the home to help keep me company.

HOW AM I WITH DOGS:
To be determined. If you have a dog in the home, FOHA staff will conduct a cat test and send a video to the potential adopter.

HOW AM I WITH KIDS:
I’d be a great match for older, gentle children who can be patient and kind as I continue to build confidence.

MY LITTER BOX HABITS:
Consistent and tidy!

THINGS I LIKE:
Churu treats, mouse toys, birdwatching, exploring new spaces, cuddling near my humans, and playing with other cats.

THINGS I DISLIKE:
Being picked up or handled too much — I’m more of a “love me on my terms” type of gal. I can also be startled by sudden movements or loud noises.
