My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I’m Charlie Pants, I may be a senior, but I still have plenty of love to give. I’m a friendly, gentle soul who can be a little shy at first—but once I get to know you, I’ll happily shower you with sweetness, purrs, headbutts, and soft cuddles. Yes, I’m a bit on the heavy side, but that just means there’s more of me to love! I do have some medical needs and will need a committed adopter to help me along on my weight-loss journey. With patience, care, and lots of encouragement, I’m ready to work toward a healthier, happier life. I dream of a calm, cozy forever home where I can soak up affection and feel safe and loved. I would do best as the only animal in the home, where I can be the center of attention and enjoy a peaceful environment. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate companion to share quiet moments and build beautiful memories with, I might just be your perfect match. I`m a Hidden Gem, so my adoption fee is waived ($30 admin fee still applies)!

The Windsor/Essex County Humane Society was founded in 1926 and incorporated in 1949. The Humane Society has a publicly-tendered contract with the City of Windsor to provide animal control and basic shelter services in the City.
