My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Malia: A Social Butterfly with a Heart of Gold. Malia is the definition of charm—gorgeous, petite, and endlessly friendly. With her stunning tortoiseshell coat and bright personality, she has a way of making everyone feel like an old friend. She’s never met a stranger, greeting new faces with warmth and curiosity, ready to turn every interaction into a new connection. This sweet girl is looking for a home where she can continue spreading joy, soaking up affection, and being the lovable, confident companion she was born to be. If you’re searching for a cat who will bring light and laughter into your life, Malia is ready to meet you!

PAL’s Adoption Center, located in Okatie, South Carolina, serves as a temporary residence for approximately 200 dogs and cats while they wait to find a loving home. Our comfortable, upbeat facility is also home to PAL’s Community Clinic, which offers wellness exams, vaccines and other vital services to pet owners at affordable prices.

In addition, Palmetto Animal League manages a network of loving foster families to house and care for abandoned animals.
