SKYLAR is a really sweet and pretty girl
She has a very nice disposition and loves to run. and play in the yard with her toys and her buddies, she has completed a 6 week board and train program and has been leash and off leash trained, she is house trained and will be a great companion for someone who likes to run or hike, she is a shepherd mix and very smart, she learns quickly.,she will need a fully fenced in yard and would do great as an only dog or with companions.,she is 1 year old as of May 2025 and 76 lbs..

We only adopt to experienced dog owners and no children under the age of 10 years
The total adoption fee of $400 ( ,spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, distemper ,canine influenza, and microchip. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. Some of our dogs are still in Rockfall Connecticut. Our application is online at

We require all adopters to fill out an initial application so that we can check references. We try to match our dogs with a family that fits the needs and individuality of our homeless pets. We work tirelessly to find the right homes with people who will love their pets for a lifetime. We do this through email, phone, and any other means of communication to ensure a good fit.

All animals in our program are fostered by individuals who keep the dog in their residence until it is adopted. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care.
