My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Schwarz is a confident, independent, and handsome Flemish Giant rabbit who has lived well in a foster home with cats and an 11-year old child. His name means "black" in German and he does have a stunning ebony coat with dusty grey on the bottoms of his feet and bushy tail. If his name had been based on personality however, then "Elvis" or "Fred Astaire" might have been a good fit, as he loves to dash around and makes aerial "binkies" reminiscent of dancing.

Schwarz hops at ease across hardwood or carpet floors. He easily climbs stairs and jumps onto a couch and human laps. He is no couch potato though and will explore and run laps until he wears himself out, and then plops on his side with back legs outstretched while he catches his breath. He accepts lots of pets but does not demand them. He is trained to go into his carrier whenever it is presented to him and can be picked up but does not like it much. He hates to have nails trimmed but it can and has been achieved by confident  groomers at HRN.

Schwarz's ideal living space will be safe for free-roaming (contact us at HRN for lots of great bunny-proofing tips) and will be secured with a tall pen (48" tall recommended). He does have avid interest in other rabbits so he might make a good companion.

His foster family adores him for his outgoing personality and charisma. He deserves to be the star of the show in his forever home.
