Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Asteria may not be the champion of the Amazon, but she’ll certainly conquer your heart when she’s on the hunt for her beloved catnip ball toys. If you’d like to see her dance like the goddess she’s named after, bring out a wand toy—ribbons are her absolute favorite!
Asteria is a playful and talkative girl with a heart full of kitten energy! She adores interactive playtime and she loves lounging wherever her people are, soaking in the comfort of good company.
She loves physical affection- pets and rubs all over her body. She likes gazing out the window and loves chasing balls.
She is really good with the kids in her foster home!
Although a bit nervous around her temporary fosters dog, she did start to adjust and would likely do well with a cat savvy dog with slow and proper introductions.
Asteria is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, FIV/FeLV negative, and up to date on all age-appropriate vaccines.
During her check-up, Asteria was found to have some crystals in her urine. This is a common condition in cats and is easily managed with a special veterinary diet and regular annual vet visits. With her special food and a little routine care, Asteria can live a long, happy, and healthy life! CSHS will provide some food to get you started, you will need to see a veterinarian to get more.

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue
Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.
In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.
CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
