TELLER AND FLORA ARE A BONDED PAIR AND MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER
Teller and Flora came to Sarl a few months ago when another shelter had to close its doors. Teller`s story began when he was found on the streets of Florida many years ago, he came up on a transport in the hopes of finding a loving forever home as young cat, sadly that did not happen for Teller. Flora (a local kitty), Teller and a few other cats were kept in a room where they were cared for but there were not many opportunities for them to be adopted.
Teller is very treat motivated and is happy to come to us for his snack, eating a Churu off our finger. He loves to watch the birds, find comfy spots to sleep and as expected treat time is his favorite activity. Although Teller is not completely comfortable with the human touch he does like to be out and present with us. Teller loves to play with toys and is happy when we sit and play using a string toy!
Flora is the prettiest girl and loves to find her comfy spots to sleep where she feels safe. She is what we call a spirit cat, a cat that is very weary of humans and new environments. Flora would never intentionally go after anyone; she is just weary of being touched. With patience and a calm environment, Flora can eventually form bonds with her humans. Flora knows her name well as she will give us lots of slow blinks as we talk to her. Flora too loves her treats, and enjoys the many baths and snuggles that Teller gives her :)
Most people want to adopt the confident happy-go-lucky cat and a select few see themselves as nurturers and feel prepared to give the harder to adopt cat a loving home where they can blossom and feel loved at their own pace. This is the type of person Teller and Flora needs, are you that person? If so, we would love for you to meet these two deserving kitties. We do believe their special someone is out there, and we look forward to the day that they are in a loving home of their very own, with patient humans who enjoy the comfort of a kitty in their home.
Please watch Teller`s video
Cats can live up to 20 years, you need to consider this when adopting and choosing the age of the cat you wish to adopt to give them a lifelong, stable home as you are making a commitment for the lifetime of the animal.
