Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Honey is a beautiful 2.5-year-old hound mix who has been patiently waiting for her forever home since April. She’s a resilient, loving girl who was given a second chance by a dedicated foster after raising 12 puppies—and now it’s finally her turn to be someone’s baby.
At first, Honey needed time to learn to trust, but with patience, consistency, and love, she blossomed. She forms deep bonds and truly cherishes her people. Honey loves to play, run, cuddle, and soak up hugs, and she has a big heart full of affection to give. She’s an adult dog who knows how to enjoy both fun and cozy downtime.
Honey would do best with gentle handling, as she’s sensitive about being grabbed by the collar—something her future family can easily respect and work around. She does have a prey drive and enjoys chasing cats and squirrels, so a cat-free home would be ideal.
Though her foster can’t keep her due to already having several dogs, she has poured so much love into Honey and dreams of seeing her find a family who will continue rewriting her story. Honey may be a bigger girl, but her heart is even bigger—and she deserves the chance to be loved just as much as any other dog.
If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with a soulful gaze and endless love to give, Honey is ready to meet you.
