Dawny (spayed female) 2 years - white DMH - stray Amputated tail and pinched colon
Adoption Fee: $10 (sponsored by generous donor)
Dawny has been through a lot in her short life, but you’d never know it by how loving and affectionate she is. This 2-year-old bobtail beauty came to us in heartbreaking condition—suffering from a severe flea allergy, a necrotic tail (which had to be removed), and urine staining on all of her legs.
With expert veterinary care and lots of TLC, Dawny has made an incredible transformation. She’s since been diagnosed with a pinched nerve in her colon, which affects her ability to fully control her bowel movements. But with a little extra care—a diaper, regular baths, and a simple routine—Dawny is living her best life.
What really makes Dawny shine is her personality. She: • Gives kisses on command • Loves being held • Follows you around begging for pets • Is a total sweetheart with everyone she meets
Dawny is already a staff and volunteer favorite, and she’s more than ready to be the favorite in her forever home. She’s proof that special needs cats are just as deserving—and just as loving—as any other. If you’re looking for a cuddly, devoted companion and are open to giving a little extra care, Dawny will return it with all the love in her heart.
Ready to meet Dawny? Submit an adoption application at newnodawayhumanesociety.org/adopt or contact us at 660-562-3333 to schedule a visit. We’ll walk you through her care routine and make sure you’re fully supported in giving this amazing cat the life she deserves.
