My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Draco! 🐾 This handsome guy—yes, the one with the unforgettable teefs—is a full-grown, 65-pound lovebug who’s ready to find his forever home! Draco may look tough, but he’s really just a big softie who lives for kisses, cuddles, and being your shadow.

He’s got charm for days, a smile that could melt hearts, and enough love to fill an entire couch (which, let’s be honest, he’ll probably try to hog). If you're looking for a sweet, smooch-happy companion with a winning grin and an even bigger heart, Draco’s your guy!

Come meet him—you’ll fall in love faster than he can give you a kiss! 💋🐶

Go meet their pets

We do our meet and greets by appointment since most of the animals in our care are actually in foster homes.

We are open the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month for walk-in visits, education and donations. Some pets may be on-site, but we do recommend submitting a meet and greet before coming.

More about this shelter

The shelter operates through a network of generous donors, volunteers and foster families.

HSforBC has no powers to act as animal control, but will work in conjunction with law enforcement as requested.

Found/stray animals are advertised and held for a minimum of 7 days. Animals that are not claimed will be brought up-to-date with vaccinations, microchipped, altered and become available for adoption.
