Meet Pawcasso!

This 1-year-old pup is a playful, affectionate, and gentle soul. Much like his name, he's proven to be a true work of heart🎨

He loves to run, explore, and zoom around the yard with his Shepherd/Lab foster brother. He gets along well with dogs of all sizes and is especially gentle with puppies. He’s full of energy and joy, always ready to play or snuggle up with you on the couch.

Pawcasso is thriving in foster care and has done great with his potty training—he consistently goes outside and picks up on routines quickly.

He came to us through Bakersfield Strays, a group that works to place stray dogs from Kern County—an area overwhelmed with homeless animals—into rescues that can help them find homes.

While Pawcasso may be timid in new environments, he warms up with a little patience and encouragement. Once he feels secure, he blossoms into his full, happy self. He can shut down around pushy or dominant dogs, so a calm and friendly companion is best for helping him feel confident and safe.

Pawcasso is a sweet, sensitive young dog who’s come a long way and is ready for a loving home where he can continue to thrive.
