At just 4 months old, Indigo is a medium-sized shepherd mix with a gentle heart and a love for the simple joys like chasing leaves in the yard or quietly following her favorite person around.
She's vaccinated and healthy, with spay surgery still to come when she's a bit older. Indigo is great with other dogs and has been respectful and calm around cats too.
This girl is naturally polite and a little reserved at first, but give her a moment and she’ll start wagging her way right into your heart. She’s thoughtful, eager to learn, and clearly wants to do the right thing—making her a fantastic candidate for training.
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. You must begin our adoption process by applying to adopt on clawsadopt.org. Please do NOT inquire via Petfinder, social media messengers or in our comments. We will only be looking at applications!
2. Please make sure you fill out our adoption application COMPLETELY. We may not be able to respond to applications that are not completely filled out with the proper information. Side note: on our applications, the more details you provide = the better.
3. We prefer applicants live within 60 miles of Closter, NJ. (Applicants who live farther away may still apply. However, please note we do prioritize local applications as we try our best to serve our local community first.)
4. Please respect our organization, our volunteers and our process. As a reminder, our organization is a nonprofit. We receive no money from the state. We have no paid employees! This is a polite reminder that we are doing our best to make the right decisions for the animals in our care. Thank you.
