My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Loki (aka Lokum): Sweet, Spunky, and Ready to Steal Your Heart!

Looking for a confident cuddlebug with a side of mischief and a whole lot of charm? Meet Loki—nicknamed Lokum (like the Turkish delight) because, well… he’s just that sweet.

This gorgeous tabby boy has the personality of a rockstar and the affection level of a teddy bear. Loki is fearless from the get-go—vacuum cleaner? Not scary. Just loud and kind of interesting. He’ll sit nearby like he’s supervising your cleaning skills.
Loki is high-energy and super interactive—he lives for playtime. Toss him a felt mouse, swing a fishing rod toy, or just dangle anything vaguely jiggly, and he’s all in. His athletic 9-pound frame is proof of his zest for life (and mealtime).

But don’t be fooled by the zoomies—Loki’s just as into snuggles and affection. He’ll happily settle on your lap, purring like a motorboat as you stroke his head. He loves kisses, gentle whispers, and hearing his name cooed like a lullaby.

With his classic tabby stripes, almond-shaped eyes, and Bengal-like swirls, Loki is as stunning as he is sociable. He grew up with two kitty buddies and a chill older cat, so he knows how to cat... but he also definitely wants to be the center of your world.
We think Loki would thrive in a home where he’s got lots of human attention and maybe a laid-back older female cat to show him the ropes (and let him win the spotlight just a little).

If you're ready for sweetness, sass, snuggles, and lots of play, Loki might just be your purr-fect match.
Come meet Loki—he's ready to delight!

Additional adoption info

We adopt animals to homes in the Los Angeles area and neighboring counties.

To help ensure that we place our cats in loving, responsible, committed homes, we have a screening process before you can adopt a pet from Kitten Rescue. We reserve the right to turn down potential adopters as we deem necessary. First, we ask that you complete our Adoption Questionnaire at kittenrescue.org/cat-adoption-form/. You can complete the form online or you may stop by a weekly adoption event to complete form in person. Second, a home visit or a home delivery of the cat or kitten is also required as part of our adoption process.

The Kitten Rescue adoption fee is $150 for a kitten or cat up to 10 years old, and $100 for each additional kitten or cat to the same household ($250 if you adopt a pair). Cats above 10 years old have a fee reduction of 50%, for an adoption fee of $75 each.

All of our cats have already been:
Spayed or neutered
Vaccinated – with at least one FVRCP vaccination
Treated for fleas
Dewormed
Tested for FeLV (Feline Leukemia) and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus)
Microchipped

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
