Meet Autumn, our most special girl looking for a special human! This beautiful and young dilute calico entered the shelter at only 6 months old with a tail-pull injury, either from someone intentionally hurting her, or getting her tail stuck in a tight space. Personality wise, it is hard to find a sweeter and friendlier girl than Autumn! She loves to explore when she gets cage-free time, and will nuzzle her humans until she receives her required number of pets and snuggles. Wand toys are her favorite, and she will never say No to a catnip toy or churu treat.
Autumn suffers from permanent nerve damage due to her injury, with limited movement and feeling in her tail and hind end. Due to this, Autumn is not always able to make it to her litter box to poop. Most of the time she knows and will go to her box, but sometimes we think she does not feel anything, and she will have an accident. This doesn't dampen her spirits at all, and she is able to keep herself clean now, but it has definitely hampered people's interest in her. Autumn takes a small dose of lactulose every other day to help keep her stool regular. If you don't mind a bit of clean up, and have room in your heart for this sweet, special girl, please come meet her at Rockland Green CARES animal shelter!
*At the current time, Autumn does not wear a diaper. Diapered animals are prone to urine scalding and infection if not regularly changed and properly cleaned. It may be possible for Autumn to adapt to wearing a diaper with a devoted caretaker who can ensure she stays clean and healthy!*

We ask all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application which allows us to check certain points of reference (vets, home ownership status, previous pets, etc). If the application looks good, the adopter signs the adoption contract which states, among other things, the animal(s) will have a permanent home with said adopter and if for any reason this becomes impossible, the animal must be returned to Four Legs Good. Four Legs Good reserves the right to place a follow-up phone call or visit, with notice, within the first year of adoption.

Four Legs Good is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to providing the most humane treatment of Rockland County animals in need. We started as a small group of dedicated volunteers who decided to make a difference in the lives of feral, homeless and abandoned animals. We are currently working out of the RG CARES Animal Shelter.
